Policies

Proctors

All students are required to have a Proctor who serves as the University's representative in test administration. Your Proctor should be a supervisor or boss who is willing to receive your examinations from the Instructor, administer them to you as indicated, guarantee the exam was completed in a secure environment and completed in accordance to University policies, and resubmit your answers to the Instructor by the deadline. When selecting your Proctor, you should identify an individual who agrees to serve in this capacity. The following information should then be submitted to JSU: Proctor's name, title and qualifications to serve in this role; telephone number and email address. Your Proctor must be approved by JSU prior to initiation of your course of study. If you are having trouble identifying a proctor please contact the IEP for assistance. All proctor information should be e-mailed to the Instructor as well as the IEP office at JSU.

Make-Up Work

Make-up assignments are offered at the discretion of the Instructor. If you miss an assignment for legitimate, excused reasons, you will be given the opportunity to makeup the assignment when it is convenient to the Instructor. Excused assignments will always be considered on an individual basis. Documentation of the excused assignments must be on file before you turn in makeup work. If you miss assignments without a legitimate excuse, you will receive a zero for the assignment. It should be noted that work schedules are not an acceptable excuse for missing assignments.

Special Concerns

A student who feels that she or he is experiencing difficulty in the course should contact the Instructor immediately for extra help.

Disability Accommodations Statement

Any individual who qualifies for reasonable accommodations under The Americans With Disabilities Act or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 should contact the Instructor immediately.
